Email Notification Management in Sprinklr

Updated

Overview

The Email Notification Management feature in Sprinklr allows administrators to selectively block specific types of email notifications from being sent to selected users or user groups. This ensures better control over communication and helps avoid unnecessary or irrelevant email clutter for specific teams or users.

Use Cases

Organizations can use this feature to:

  • Prevent certain users or teams from receiving Sprinklr Announcements, Scheduled Exports, or other non-critical notifications.

  • Manage notification preferences during sensitive periods (e.g., audits, campaigns, transitions).

  • Configure for how long notifications should be blocked.

Key Features

1. Select Email Types to Block

Choose the specific categories of email notifications to block, such as:

  • Sprinklr Announcements

  • Scheduled Export Emails

This ensures that users are only blocked from receiving emails that are not relevant to them.

2. Target Specific Users or User Groups

  • Define who should be excluded from receiving the selected emails.

  • Target based on:

    • Individual users

    • User groups

This allows for precise control over email distribution and ensures important messages still reach the right audience.

3. Set Blockout Duration

Define how long the email notifications should be blocked for:

  • Fixed Date Range: Set a start and end date for the block.

This gives flexibility for both temporary suppression and long-term suppression.

4. Configure Multiple Notification Blocks

  • Create multiple configurations to support different use cases.

  • Example configurations:

    • Block Sprinklr Announcements for the Engineering team.

    • Block Scheduled Export Emails for interns during a specific period.

Each configuration operates independently and can be modified or deleted as needed.

How It Works

  1. Admin creates a new block rule in the Email Notification Management section.

  2. Select email types, target users/user groups, and blockout duration.

  3. Once saved, emails matching the criteria will not be sent to the selected users.

  4. Admins can create, view, edit, or delete multiple configurations.

Best Practices

  • Review configurations regularly to avoid missing important updates.

  • Use descriptive names for each block configuration to aid in management and audits.

  • For temporary blocks, set an end date to automatically resume email delivery.
