Upgraded Smart+ Campaigns

TikTok Upgraded Smart+ Campaigns allow you to use TikTok's automation for targeting, bidding, and creative optimization, while still giving you the option to switch to manual controls when needed.

This campaign type simplifies setup and uses TikTok optimizations to improve delivery performance.

Supported Objectives

Sprinklr currently supports Upgraded Smart+ Campaigns for the following objectives:

  • Web Conversions (Non Catalog Flows)

  • App Promotion

  • Lead Generation

How to Enable Upgraded Smart+ Campaigns in Sprinklr

To get started:

  1. Go to Ads Composer and select your TikTok ad account.

  2. In the Paid Initiative Details tab, select one of the supported objectives listed above.

  3. Enter a Name for your campaign.

  4. Scroll down and check the box for Upgraded Smart+ Campaign.

    Note: The ability to enable Upgraded Smart+ similarily accessible by a checkbox at the PI Level

Configure Target Audience

  1. Go to the Target Audience tab and click + Add Target Audience.

  2. Select an existing target audience from the list. You can select multiple ad sets here.

  3. To create a new audience, click + Add New Audience, then enter a targeting name (or use your naming convention).

There are two targeting types Available for Upgraded Smart+ Campaigns:

  1. Manual Targeting: Enter your audience targeting details manually, as you would in a standard campaign.

  2. Automatic Targeting: Two new types of fields are present on the basis of audience creation:

    • Audience Controls: Delivery to these options is guaranteed

    • Audience Suggestions: Audience suggestions guide automatic targeting by choosing additional audience settings. These serve as suggestions only, and delivery to those audiences is not guarantee

Set Budget, Schedule, and Placement

  1. In the Budget and Schedule tab, enable or disable Campaign Budget Optimization as needed.

  2. Enter your bidding and scheduling details.

  3. Select ad placements. With Upgraded Smart+, you can choose between:

    • Automatic placement

    • Manual placement

  4. Configure any additional bidding and dayparting settings.

After completing the budget and schedule setup, go to the Creatives tab to create your ads.

Once your creatives are ready, you can configure advanced settings and apply any required strategy groups, just as you would for a standard campaign.

Note: Upgraded Smart+ Campaign will replace the first version of Smart+ Campaigns. Starting February 2026, creation of new ad entities from Smart+ will be deprecated and only management of ad entities will be supported in Sprinklr.
