Viewing Responses with Default View

The Responses tab displays a table in which each row corresponds to a separate response. Within the Responses Tab, the Default View provides an extensive overview of all the responses collected from the survey.

Prerequisites
Access to this module requires the Survey Level View Response and Analytics and Edit Response and Analytics permissions, which you can find under Roles in the CFM App:
View Response and Analytics: Helps to view the default view.
Edit Response and Analytics: Helps to edit the default view.
Setting Up Default View
Open a Survey and navigate to the Response Tab.
It will open into the Default View or Resulting View where you can see all the responses received by the survey. The Default View provides an overview of all responses collected from the survey. The following columns are included in the Default View of the Responses tab:
Response ID: Provides the system-generated unique ID used to identify each response.
Distribution Channel : Depicts the distribution channel through which the response was received.
Response Time: Represents the time the survey was recorded (survey submit time).
Survey Type: Survey Type represents the type of survey, such as Conversational or Standard survey.
Tags: By default, this column appears blank, but you can manually add tags as needed. Tags are customizable text labels that can be attached to individual responses and later used to filter and organize feedback for easier analysis.
For example: You can tag responses as 'Spam' and filter them out from the default view(By default, this column is empty, but you can manually add tags)
Survey Questions: In addition to the aforementioned columns, every question in the survey is depicted as a separate column, with each row reflecting the answers given to each specific question as part of the overall feedback.
The Default View also contains options to:
Filter all the responses received through their Status:
Complete: Filters for all survey responses which have been submitted.
Partial: Filters for survey responses which have only been partially filled.
Archived: Filters for all the archived survey responses.
Test: Filters for responses received through the Preview button in the Survey Builder.
Filter all the responses through Additional Filters such as:
Response Time: You will have the choice to select a date and filter all responses based on how their response dates compare to the selected date. You can choose from the following conditions:
For example, you can view responses submitted before, after, or on the selected date. You can select from the following conditions:
Greater than
Less Than
Equals
Not Equals
Between
Tags: You can filter all responses by specific tags and you can also search for particular tags as needed.
Survey Questions: You can filter all responses with a specific response to a specific question.
Refersh: You can click Refresh option to refresh all survey responses, which is helpful for updating the Default View with the most recent responses.
Sort: You can sort responses by Response ID, Distribution Channel, Survey Type, and Response Time.
Hide: You can also Hide the filter bar.
Response Tab Options: Click the Horizontal Ellipsis (...) to access the response tab option.
Manage Columns: You can hide or freeze the columns:
Response ID
Distribution Channel
Survey Type
Response Time
Export: You have the option to export the responses displayed in the default view as a CSV file.
Import:You have the option to import additional responses and map them to the questions in the survey.
Custom Field: You can view, create and edit Survey Response Custom Fields.
Custom Metrics: You can view, create, and edit Survey Response Custom Metrics.
Column Action: You can perform various actions on each column in the Responses Tab. To access these actions, click the Downward arrow at the top of the column. The following actions can be performed by selecting the corresponding options:
Click Downward arrow on top of the column to access column actions. You can perform the following actions by clicking on the corresponding options:
Sort ascending: This action allows you to sort the responses tab based on column values in the ascending order.
Sort descending: This action allows you to sort the responses tab based on column values in the descending order.
Hide column: This action helps to hide the column.
Freeze column: This action helps to freeze the column.
Add column to left: This action will add an empty column to the left of the column. You shall have the options of adding either a custom metric or a custom field.
Add column to right: This action will add an empty column to the right of the column. You shall have the options of adding either a custom metric or a custom field.
Response Level Actions
For each question type, we have one or more columns in the responses tab. For each survey response, you can perform these actions:
Click Vertical Ellipsis (3 dots) on the response row to Edit the responses.
Archive Responses: You can archive a response. This action hides the response from the responses tab.
Go to Filters > status > Archive. (In the current state, Archive responses are not working).
Edit Response Quality: You can edit the Response Quality attached to responses.
Delete: You can delete the response using this option.
Update Tag: You can update the tags attached to each response. You have the option to select tags from an existing list or create a new tag by entering the tag name in the search bar.
Bulk Edit: You can bulk edit multiple responses in a single action. To bulk edit follow these steps:
Select Check Box next to the response. Select all the responses that you want to bulk edit.
Click Vertical Ellipsis (3 dots).
Click Edit option.
Respondent View: By clicking the Eye icon located in the survey response row, next to the Row Actions (vertical ellipses) menu, you can view individual survey responses as they appear in the respondent's UI for that specific submission.
