Sprinklr leverages Facebook’s storAPI to enable brands to manage their Instagram content directly from the Distributed platform. This includes publishing posts, Carousals, reels, stories, and tracking engagement metrics. By integrating Instagram with Distributed, users can streamline their social media management, ensuring consistent and efficient content distribution.

Instagram Post
With Distributed, users can create, schedule, and publish Instagram posts efficiently. The platform supports content creation with URLs, photos, and videos, and allows users to utilize publish labels, macros, and custom fields. By leveraging Sprinklr, brands can collaborate with other Instagram pages and enhance their social media strategy effectively.
Steps to Publish an Instagram Post via Direct Publish
Log into the Distributed environment.
Click the Publisher icon in the left menu bar and select Create Post.
In the Create Post window, select your Instagram Business account where you want to publish.
Select the Type of Message as Post from the drop-down menu.
If you have linked an Instagram Business account, choose Direct Publish it will directly publish via Sprinklr.
Click Select Photo to add a photo from the Media Uploader (or Upload Photo to select media to upload from your device).
Enter a Caption for your selected photo. Next, click the Emoji Picker icon from the Content box to open the emoji menu. Use the icons at the top to browse categories, or search the emoji. Click your chosen emoji, and it'll be added to your description.
After you've selected a photo, click Tag People below the photo.
Note: Enter the correct and complete Instagram account handle and then press enter on your keyboard to verify the account handle. Sprinklr will only verify if the Instagram account handle entered is a valid Instagram account or not.
Click Tag in the bottom right corner of the Tag People window.
Note:
Due to API limitation, auto-completion of the handle is prohibited, so make sure to either copy-paste the handle or enter the complete and correct handle.
The post will not be published in case of invalid Instagram account handles.
You can only tag public profiles and business accounts.
You can tag 20 Instagram accounts to one image post.
Under Add Collaborators, select the collaborators from the dropdown.
Note:
You can select collaborators only if you have tagged them in the post.
Maximum 3 collaborators can be added to a post.
The collaborator needs to give permission to be added as a collaborator. Once a request is accepted, the post appears on the feed of the collaborator account as well.
Click Tag Location. Enter a location to add to your post. Type at least 3 characters of the location to search.
If you wish, enter content or hashtags under the First Comment Box.
The First Comment is great for hashtags or any other information that you might not want to show initially within your caption.
Character Limits for the First Comment box is 2200 characters.
Instagram only allows 30 hashtags per post - this is counted across captions and comments. For example, if you add 20 hashtags in your caption and another 20 in your first comment, the comment will not be posted.

FAQs
Can we directly publish from a personal Instagram account?
No, you can only use the Business Instagram Profile to directly publish from within the Sprinklr platform.
What are the recommended aspect ratio and file size of the photo media type?
The photo's aspect ratio must be between 1.91:1 and 4:5. The file size of the photo should not exceed 60 MB. If the software takes longer than 10 seconds to upload an image then the endpoint will timeout.
What is the recommended photo resolution?
If the image resolution of the photo is at a high resolution, then it will be sized down to 1080 pixels. If the image resolution of the photo is lesser than 150x150, then the image may get scaled. The Scaled Image type enlarges or reduces the physical size of the image by changing the number of pixels it contains.
Instagram Carousal
An Instagram carousel is a post with multiple photos or videos that can be viewed by swiping or clicking left. This article helps you with the steps for publishing Instagram carousel post through Sprinklr.
Steps to Publish an Instagram Carousal via Direct Publish
Log into the Distributed environment.
Click the Publisher icon in the left menu bar and select Create Post.
In the Create Post window, select your Instagram Business account where you want to publish.
Select the Type of Message as Carousal from the drop-down menu.
If you have linked an Instagram Business account, choose Direct Publish it will directly publish via Sprinklr.
Under Media, choose the desired Select Media to choose the media from the Media Uploader (or Upload Media to select media to upload from your device).
Click Select Media to add another media to the carousal post.
Click Tag People if you want to tag others in the carousel post, enter the Instagram handles in the Tag People window, and click Tag in the bottom right corner.
Click Tag Location. Enter a location to add to your post. Type at least 3 characters of the location to search.
Enter the Description in the given field.

Instagram Reel
Reels are short, entertaining videos on Instagram, where you can express your creativity and bring your brand to life. People come to Reels to participate in cultural trends, collaborate with the community, and discover new ideas. This article helps you with the steps for publishing Instagram Reels through Sprinklr.
Steps to Publish an Instagram Reel via Direct Publish
Log into the Distributed environment.
Click the Publisher icon in the left menu bar and select Create Post.
In the Create Post window, select your Instagram Business account where you want to publish.
Select the Type of Message as Reel from the drop-down menu.
Select Direct Publish under Publishing Type.
Click Select Video to choose the media from the Media Uploader (or Upload Video to select media to upload from your device).
Note: For Reels, you can only select & post up to 1 video media asset at a time.
Enter the Caption for the Instagram reel. Additionally, click the Emoji Picker icon from the Caption box to open the emoji menu. Use the icons at the top to browse categories, or search the emoji. Click your chosen emoji, and it'll be added to your message.
To edit or change the thumbnail, hover over the thumbnail, click the Options icon, and select Edit Thumbnail or Change Thumbnail, based on your preference. To change the thumbnail, select a custom thumbnail from the DAM, or UGC, and upload it from your device.
Click Tag Users select the exact Instagram user handle to tag Instagram profiles to tag them in the reel.
Under Add Collaborators, select the collaborators from the dropdown.

Limitations
Tagging Accounts, Product Stickers, and Using Music from Instagram are both an API Limitation currently. However, you can Explore Link in Bio Stores for tagging products on Reel Posts.
Publishing of single video posts is deprecated. On publishing a single video post, will be published and grabbed as a reel for engagement.
Instagram Story
Instagram Stories allows Instagram users to share photos and videos to their "Story", which is visible to followers of the user's Instagram account and to specific users the Story's sender follows. Like in Snapchat, Instagram Stories are ephemeral, meaning they disappear after 24 hours. This article helps you with the steps for publishing Instagram Stories through Sprinklr.
Steps to Publish an Instagram Story via Direct Publish
Log into the Distributed environment.
Click the Publisher icon in the left menu bar and select Create Post.
In the Create Post window, select your Instagram Business account where you want to publish.
Select the Type of Message as Story from the drop-down menu.
Select Direct Publish under the Publishing Type.
Click Select Media to choose the media from the Media Uploader (or Upload Video to select media to upload from your device).
Note: You can only post up to 10 media assets (including Photo/Video together) at a time.

Common Steps to be Followed after Media is Selected
Select a campaign from the Campaign drop-down menu to associate your post with. You can also set your campaign as default by clicking Set as Default. You can also select a sub-campaign from the Sub-Campaign drop-down menu to associate your post with.
You can select URL Shortener to shorten every link that you paste into your message. This helps you make the most of the character limit.
Apply Properties to the post.
Under Approval, set an Approval Type for your post. You can also add an Approval Note.
Note: Admin can determine the presence or absence of these properties for the Distributed users. This capability is DP controlled.
The preview of the post will be rendered on the right pane. Also, you can click the Preview icon in the bottom left corner next to Schedule Post if you have minimized the Create Post window.
To Publish, click Post in the bottom right corner on the selected Instagram Account immediately. If you are not ready to publish and want to save your post as a draft, click Save as Draft.
You can also schedule your post for a future date and time by clicking Schedule Post in the bottom left corner. Select the month, date, and time of publishing. Click Apply to save your changes. Additionally, You can check the Smart Scheduling box at the bottom of the Scheduler box.
To continue publishing another post, check the given Publish Another box at the bottom.

With Instagram product tagging, your marketing channels can introduce people to their next great find. This can help you add a powerful CTA to your social and organic posts.
Steps to Publish Posts to your Sprinklr Link in Bio
Once the Media is selected, and the required details are added as described above.
Enable Add Post to Sprinklr Link in Bio, to add the post to your Link In Bio.
Select tag type of your post from the drop-down menu. The following options are available:
Add Redirect Link — Enter the Redirect Link for the post.
Tag Links/Products — Click ➕ Add Products/Links box. It will take you to the Tag Products/Links window. For more information, see ➕ Add Products/Links — Field Descriptions.
Fill in the required remaining steps as per your requirement and click Post in the bottom right corner to publish your organic post on Instagram with a Product Tag and Link in Bio URL.

Once you click ➕ Add Products/Links box, you're required to select the media where you want the tag to appear, then fill the required steps in Tag Products/Links window.
Steps to Publish Instagram Content via Publish Mobile
Under Publishing Type, select Publish via Mobile.
Click on Post, after filling in the required details.
Log into the mobile app and you will receive an in-app notification when your post is ready for publishing. Tap the Notification icon in the bottom bar and tap Instagram post notification to view.
In the Details screen, tap Publish on Instagram in the bottom left corner.
Next, in the Publish on Instagram pop-up screen, tap Open Instagram at the bottom and it will automatically take you to your native Instagram account.
In the Instagram native account, tap at the top or swipe right anywhere in the Feed. Then, scroll to Story at the bottom.
To choose a photo or video from your phone's library or gallery, swipe up anywhere on the screen. All the media is downloaded in your phone gallery which you have uploaded on Sprinklr Web App in Step 1.

, to draw, add text or a sticker to your photo or video. To remove the text or a sticker, drag and drop it in
at the bottom of the screen.
Tip: The caption entered in the Sprinklr Web App (in Step 1) will be automatically copied to your clipboard. Tap to paste the caption.
When you're ready to share, tap Your Story in the bottom left.
Once published, return to the Sprinklr Mobile App and open the Instagram post notification. Tap Mark Post as Published.
Next, in the Select the Stories pop-up window, confirm the published stories and tap Mark As Published in the bottom right corner of the Select the Stories pop-up window.
