Lucy Gilmore is Assistant General Counsel for Product, Privacy and AI at Sprinklr, where she leads the Privacy and AI team within the company's Legal department. Her involvement with the Sprinklr blog comes in the capacity of a legal subject-matter expert rather than a staff writer, and her contribution provides an in-depth, plain-language overview of the European Union's AI Act, its focus and scope, Sprinklr's position on it and how the company is preparing for its effective date, all as part of Sprinklr's commitment to Responsible AI. Over her time at Sprinklr she has focused on building a resilient privacy regime, providing commercially focused product counselling, creating scalable solutions to strengthen customer confidence in data privacy and simplifying privacy for internal and external stakeholders. Before Sprinklr, she spent more than 15 years in law and data protection, including roles at Sage's Global Privacy Office, Eversheds Sutherland, Newcastle Building Society and Muckle LLP. A University of Northumbria law graduate and CIPP/E-certified privacy professional, she is known for translating complex regulations into clear, commercially sound strategies that scale.
