Empowering Others through Sprinklr’s 24-4-Others Day: Phylissa Marshall’s Story

That’s why we’ve made giving back a core part of our culture with initiatives like 24-4-Others, which provides every Sprinklrite one full day each year to dedicate to community volunteering and making a difference. Recently, Phylissa Marshall took this opportunity to assist a community member in urgent need. This is her story:

Phylissa’s 24-4-Others day didn’t begin with a formal plan—it started with a chance meeting at Home Depot. There, she met a woman in her 70s, struggling with health issues and the overwhelming task of moving to a new apartment. “I’ve been in similar situations before,” Phylissa shared, “and I’ve been fortunate to have the support of friends and family. When I heard her story, I knew I had to help.” 

Phylissa helped her neighbor pack, clean, and relocate to a new home, but she wasn’t prepared for the amount of work involved. She packed the entire kitchen, ensuring everything was safely wrapped and prepared for the move. “The kitchen is always the toughest room to pack,” she recalled. She didn’t stop there—she returned multiple times over the following days to make sure the job was done and even brought her own supplies to keep the move on track. 

“We didn’t have enough packing materials, so I got creative and used boxes and paper I had saved from my own renovation,” she said. This resourcefulness ensured the move was completed efficiently, even under time pressure. 

Phylissa reflected on the joy she experienced in small, meaningful moments. “I packed a picnic basket with fruit, veggies, and iced tea, and we took a break for a little picnic,” she recalled with a smile. “It was a simple moment, but it reminded me why I love helping people—finding joy even in the midst of a long, stressful day.” 

The gratitude she received made the experience even more memorable. “Later, when I visited her, she told everyone how blessed she was to have found help right when she needed it most.” “You never know what angels you’ll find at Home Depot,” the woman had told her, and the words left a lasting impression. “It felt amazing to know I had made a real difference.” 

The experience was a powerful reminder of the values Phylissa holds both personally and professionally—empathy, accountability, and teamwork. For her, the day wasn’t just about helping with a move; it was about living Sprinklr’s belief that “people never forget how you make them feel.” 

Through her actions, Phylissa embodied Sprinklr’s commitment to empathy and support. Her story reflects the culture at Sprinklr, where small acts of kindness and living our values make a lasting impact.
